Bradman Lake Inc, a leading manufacturer of packaging machinery announced today the relocation of its Charlotte, NC manufacturing plant to a new freehold 40,000 Sq Ft factory in Rock Hill, South Carolina, acquired by parent company Langley Holdings plc. The move will be phased in stages but is expected to be completed by March 2010. It is anticipated that all current employees will make the transition to the new location which is about 15 miles south from the Charlotte plant.
Bradman Lake Inc is the US production and sales operating unit of the UK based Bradman Lake Group, a wholly owned subsidiary of the multi-disciplined global UK engineering group Langley Holdings plc (

Bradman Lake Inc. designs and builds a very wide range of highly automated packaging machinery used extensively in the bakery, frozen food, chocolate and confectionery industries in North and South America. The equipment consists of wrapping, cartoning, robotic loading and case packing machinery sold either as separate units or now, more commonly, as part of completely integrated packaging systems. The Bradman Lake Group in the UK and USA currently employs 200+ full time engineers and designers and generates revenues in excess of $50 million.

The new space is much more efficient and will allow the operation to better service our customers from order placement to full after sales support. In addition to more efficient space we will begin with a 30% increase in the production area with an opportunity for future expansion to double of the current space. We anticipate further sales growth and the Rock Hill area will provide a good pool of trained engineering staff for us to recruit from”.
