25th November 2009, Leading UPS manufacturer, Piller Group GmbH, a Langley subsidiary, has opened a new office in Singapore to support its existing customers and respond to growing product demand in South East Asia.
Renowned for combining cutting-edge, high-performance technology with competent first-rate service, Piller has strategically positioned the Singapore office to develop familiarity with client installations and enable rapid response times for project management, servicing and emergency call-outs.
As the only company in the world that manufactures static, rotary and Diesel rotary UPS systems, Piller has an enviable reputation for product innovation and reliability, providing systems for many of the world’s leading banks and financial institutions, as well as a range of products for broadcasting, telecommunications, airport, military and manufacturing sectors.
In addition to the rapid growth of industry in South East Asia, Piller’s move to set up the Singapore office has been particularly driven by the growing need for data centre protection, with Piller already ahead of the game in terms of developing solutions that combine cutting-edge efficiency with best of breed reliability.
Piller’s Managing Director of Global Business, Andrew Dyke, told Strategic Facilities magazine “Some Asian economies are already showing signs of moving out of recession and we believe this region will probably gain pace at a faster rate than older economies. There has been a tremendous shift, with the migration of manufacturing and other activities to these territories, and with that comes all of the infrastructure growth, with regard to power and communication requirements. So, we believe that, by establishing ourselves directly in that region, Asia could be another key growth driver for us in the future.”
A significant milestone for the company’s 100th year in business, the new office will further extend and enhance Piller’s international network of offices, including its HQ and test centre in Germany and sites in Australia, Canada, France, Italy, Spain, Taiwan, the USA and the UK.
