At the heart of Langley's "engineering the future" philosophy and helping to protect our environment is recycling. The JND Intal system is a 'pollution free' process removing contamination from metals prior to re-smelting, whereas the JND Energy from Waste System used a process known as pyrolysis to produce high combustible gases from organic material, ultimately from which electrical power can be generated.
In the very different environment of the developing world, Langley can be found engineering the future in a different way; JND's rotary kilns convert bagasse to charcoal, which is mixed with molasses and compressed into charcoal briquettes for use in local cooking. In the growing world, Magco play an important role by bringing down to size that every growing bi-product of modern living municipal solid waste in their Tollemache shredder and when it comes to crushing glass cullet or gypsum waste, Magco Crushers are more than capable. |
