{"id":1250,"date":"2024-06-09T09:32:17","date_gmt":"2024-06-09T09:32:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/langley-holdings.whattheframework.uk\/es-es\/?p=1250"},"modified":"2024-07-24T09:40:27","modified_gmt":"2024-07-24T09:40:27","slug":"gladiators-come-out-on-form-in-the-usa","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.langleyholdings.com\/es-es\/2024\/06\/09\/gladiators-come-out-on-form-in-the-usa\/","title":{"rendered":"Gladiators come out on form in the USA"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em>Newport RI \u2013 9th June, 2024<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>Convincing win in practice race<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The second round of the\u00a0<strong>2024 TP52 Super Series 2024<\/strong>\u00a0season got underway today with official practice race day in the\u00a0<strong>XS 52 SUPER SERIES Newport RI Trophy<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>10 teams from 7 different nations lined up on the hallowed waters off Newport RI and right on cue Newport turned on both sun and wind, a cool sea breeze building to 20 knots making for ideal conditions for this, the final tune up before points racing starts on Tuesday.<\/p>\n<p>Takashi Okura\u2019s\u00a0<em>Sled<\/em>\u00a0from the historic host New York Yacht Club won the first practice race and Tony Langley\u2019s\u00a0<em>Gladiator<\/em>\u00a0took the second race win convincingly with the British owner calling tactics and veteran Argentinian helm Guille Parada driving.<\/p>\n<p>And the good news is the breeze looks set to be in for the next few days.
