The vibrant Spanish city of Barcelona hosted the 5th and final regatta of the TP52 Super Series last week, a fitting venue to mark the 10th anniversary of where the class began in 2012.<\/p>\n

At the awards ceremony on Saturday, Langley Holdings\u2019\u00a0Gladiator\u00a0Sailing Team<\/i>\u00a0picked up the Pure Passion Award, acknowledging a decade of competition in this, the world\u2019s premier monohull sailing circuit.<\/p>\n

10 teams took to the water off Barcelona last week in challenging super-light airs. For this event helmsman Tony Langley switched roles with fellow Brit Paul Goodison, who will co-steer\u00a0American Magic,<\/i>\u00a0along with Tom Slingsby, in the\u00a037th Americas Cup<\/u><\/i><\/a>\u00a0in 2024, also in Barcelona.<\/p>\n

The\u00a0Gladiator<\/i>\u00a0team have struggled to find form this season, recording just\u00a0one win<\/u><\/i><\/a>\u00a0at the inaugural event in Baiona in May. Aside to that their best placing has been a 4th in each of the other four events.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/section>\n
