6th February 2009.
Langley Holdings plc today released their IFRS Annual Report & Accounts for
2008.
Tony Langley, the group's chairman, said in his review of the business that "2008 was another record year for Langley Holdings plc". Revenues for the year were slightly up at €512.8m, as were operating profits at €65.6m, but the group started to feel the effects of the global downturn on its order books in the final quarter.
Nevertheless, Langley expects the group to be profitable and continue generating cash in 2009. The Langley group has enjoyed an uninterrupted run of increasing revenues and profits since 2000 and retained much of its earnings over that period. The group is in "better shape than many" to weather the downturn says Langley. |
