Cowes –

Young sailor, Will Heritage (20) was able to develop his sailing skills at the highest level when he joined Gladiator’s racing team at Cowes Week on Youth Day. Will was delighted when the boat’s tactician was his childhood hero, England Olympic Gold medallist and three-times World Champion, Paul Goodison MBE, who joins Gladiator’s all-British team this season.

For the event, the Langley Holdings group sponsored TP52 racing yacht Gladiator carried the branding of the group’s Reader Cement Products subsidiary.

Youth day was introduced for the first time this year by the Cowes Week organisers in partnership with another famous sailing regatta, Antigua Sailing Week. It was an opportunity to put the spotlight on young sailors, offering them encouragement and highlighting their successes.

Next up for Gladiator – the SUPER-CHARGED three-event 2021 TP52 SUPER SERIES season, starting in Puerto Portals on 24th August.
