Reader will boost annual production to over 10 millions bags
Reader Cement Products Ltd, the UK’s largest independent materials blending and packing producer, has secured a £5 million investment to boost annual production to over 10 millions bags.
The investment from Reader’s parent company, Langley Holdings plc, will expand Readers existing production facility by an additional six new Arodo Arovac® 500 automated packing machines, fed by SGH Equipment’s material handling equipment, totalling fourteen machines across Readers Pinxton, Nottinghamshire HQ facility.
In line with Langley’s sustainable objectives, Reader can expect to become 100% virgin plastic free with continued efforts to develop new, low carbon, cement alternative products.

Reader has supplied the construction, civil engineering, and DIY sectors for almost 40 years, produced and distributed from its three sites located in Nottinghamshire.
The expansion has commenced and is expected to be online Q2 2024
